Thank you for visiting ABC's of Creative Pursuits.

Started by Karen Rummans in 2003 with yarn she had in her own stash, ABC's of Creative Pursuits exists to foster a passion for fiber arts. Karen has been knitting and crocheting for over 40 years. Her love of color is evident throughout the store and you will always be able to find a rainbow of yarn to choose from for your projects.

In November of 2006, ABC's of Creative Pursuits relocated to downtown Bakersfield inside the historic Haberfelde building. A friend let Karen know that the space was available and as soon as she saw it, Karen knew it would be the perfect place to house all her yarn. Fiber artists are always welcome at the yarn shop's table to share in their passion for creating and experimenting. It is not uncommon to find someone knitting through their lunch hour during the week or a group of friends gathered in the afternoons and weekends. And, there is always someone on hand to help with a project or teach a beginner. Come check us out and see why so many people are finding fun with yarn these days!

* The main door to the Haberfelde building is often closed on Sundays and Saturdays, please enter on the 17th Place alley side of the building.
